Dr Smith's History
I was born in Bismarck, North Dakota and moved out west with my family of six when I was three. Since that time I have considered himself a local Tacoma boy. I grew up in the Midland Summit area between Puyallup and Tacoma. It was great fun growing up in that area at that time as there was a lot of forest land. My brothers and I could wonder all day long, build forts and be lost in the woods with friends and neighbors. I graduated from Franklin Pierce High School in 1972 and Central Washington University in 1977. After Graduation from College I had a desire for adventure and I wanted to experience more of the world so I joined the Marine Corps. I was commissioned a 2nd lieutenant as a Marine Officer at Quentico, Virginia in 1977. I served three years active duty most of it at the Marine Corps Air Station at Yuma, Arizona. I was promoted to Captain and served with the Tacoma Marine Reserves and San Francisco Marine Reserves at Treasure Island for five years. Concurrent with Marine Corps reserve training I was enrolled at Life Chiropractic College in San Lorenzo, California and graduated in 1985 with a degree as a Doctor of Chiropractic. That year I was liscensed in the State of California and Washington State. I practiced for one year in California with a large group practice in Fremont, California. I moved back home to Tacoma in 1987 and started my own office and family and have been in active practice since that date. I am married to Jan Crosetto and together we have six children. The family has been one of my greatest joys in my life. We are very active as a family when we are together. Some are in college, one is a Ranger in the Army. In my pratcice I have had the opportunity to see and experience a wide array of muscle and joint injuries and I have meet hundreds of people and family's.
